August 14, 2010And we were there!! Wow, it was so cool when we witnessed this amazing kill south of St. Johns NL., near Witless Bay. I was hosting a photography workshop with my 3 guests, when we were lucky enough to get on this amazing nature experience.
Eco-tours and boat captain Tyler and his 22' Zodiac took the 4 of us out to the site in some pretty rough water. It was difficult to get images, as the boat was tossed around, but after 2000+ shots, and 2 hours, it was just too dark to continue.
The sot below shows the Minky's nose on the far left,coming up to the top of the water for a split second. Thanks to Glenn, David, and Chris for being there to enjoy this event! And thanks to Lori Colbert for arranging this trip!
